People who work for a living can’t afford to get away from their jobs to speak for their needs and interests at the New Hampshire State House.
I found this to be true during my past tenure as a NH State Rep. Every issue brought before that large body had paid lobbyists from management, business, municipal, taxpayer and all other interests. While that's fine, it needs to be balanced by the those interests of the people who do the work and provide the services that make New Hampshire a great place to live.
Somebody has to speak up for them and I can.
I’m a recently retired long-time worker advocate having fought and advocated for both public and private sector workers.
Please give me a chance to fight for you and those of us who work for a living by honoring me with your vote.

Thank you

Dan Toomey

November 7, 2018

All 27 of Nashua's State Representative seats were won by Democrats last night.  My district, Hillsborough 32, that encompasses Nashua Ward 5, was won by my good friend Mike Pedersen, Allison Nutting Wong, and myself.  The results were as follows:

Toomey 2,197, Nutting Wong 2,120, Pedersen 2,075

Republican Opponents:  Johnson 1,838, Moore 1,691, Lathrup 1,620.

Thanks to all my family, friends, union brothers and Nashua Ward 5 voters for our victorys yesterday. A big thank you to the New Hampshire and Nashua Democratic Campaign staffs and volunteers. Heartfelt gratitude to all those firefighters, family and friends who stood with us for the 14 hour stretch at the polls despite the cold and the rain.
